Although the best tennis from Filip Krajinovic is good enough, I haven’t seen it for far too long to trust him here.
Although Frances Tiafoe made difficult work of some of his tennis on the way to his the Estoril final, he is playing a relatively consistent brand of tennis by his standards, and I can absolutely forgive his lost to Cristian Garin on the quick back-up in Madrid.
It’s just been a bit of an average year for Krajinovic, who has struggled for form and consistency, now sitting outside the Top 50. Casting an eye back over the majority of 2022 and it is difficult to find a solid body of form to suggest he is able to cover +2 games here.
