We’re back: Jake’s Phoenix Preview, Vukic vs. Fognini

Posted on

Hey, guys.

While the articles haven’t been coming hard and fast, the form has turned around as late as we’ve reached +3.5% PoT on almost eight units profit.

This is about as good as we’ve traveled all season and I’m keen to keep betting and back myself in.

Let’s jump off the ATP tour and make a play from Challenger Phoenix as Fabio Fognini looks surprisingly motivated as this marquee lower-level meeting.

After losing a competitive match to Sebastian Baez at Indian Wells, the veteran Italian lobbed in Arizona and quickly disposed of Michael Mmoh, a very solid player at this level.

He entered that contest with a $2.30 SP, and despite winning the way he did, comes in 20 cents bigger against someone I’d say is inferior to Mmoh.

Even though Vukic produced a stellar win against Vit Kopriva, he’s coming off a truly diabolic run of outs and I’m not sure that win is enough for me to get excited about him in this odds range.

Sure, the Australian is the more consistent of the two players, but he’s not so consistent he’s greater than 60% to win.

I’ve buying into the Fognini motivation and the clear upside he possesses.
