While it’s possible Roberto Bautista Agut was carrying an undisclosed injury during today’s match, Fucsovics played a great match as his power and aggression was far too much for Agut, as well as his overall movement and defense from the backhand wing.
While Alexander Bublik has played some stunning tennis on hard courts recently, most of those results have come with a roof over his head and I worry about his motivation here after a busy start to the season.
The wind is always a distraction here and I can see Bublik spitting the dummy.
His attitude against Milos Raonic at Rotterdam reminded me of how he used to behave on the tour, and while I do believe he’s turned over a new leaf, the Bublik downswings over the years have featured consecutive losses.
