Jake’s Cordoba Preview: Etcheverry vs. Zapata

Posted on

You wouldn’t believe I was 500 words into a previous story when my computer decided to refresh itself, removing all the content I’d written.

Due to that, I’ve spat the dummy and am going to dot point this.

  • I think Tomas Martin Etcheverry is a brilliant player, and deserves to be favourite against Zapata.
  • I have bet on the Argentine to win the quarter at $3.20, and thought he was over the odds prior to the tournament.
  • I now think there’s been a slight underestimation of Zapata Miralles, causing his price to be a little bit.
  • I’m mindful of Etcheverry playing his first match here this year, given he’s never won here before.
  • Four games is a lot, a lot can happen.
  • I think Etcheverry should be about $1.50, and a three-game favourite, this looks a little short.
  • Hopefully he can advance, but I’m expecting it to be a little tricky.
