I get the sense that Nuria Parrizas-Diaz may be ever so slightly flying under the radar this year, and largely due to the fact that her worst performance of the year came in the first round of Australian Open qualifying, backing up off a Challenger title. The Spaniard won the Canberra 125 title to start the year in what was an incredibly impressive week of tennis, and is the type of player that has the ability to ask questions of the sometimes erratic Anna Blinkova. The Russian made headlines at the Australian Open for that epic tiebreak win over Rybakina, however when you zoom out at take a harder look at her form, it’s hard to make a strong case for her at the short moneyline price given the inconsistency in her level.
Happy to take the Spaniard here to back up her upset win yesterday with another one against Blinkova.
