The Frenchman made the final here last season and will have a chips in mentality ahead of round one as a prolonged losing streak will see him lose the privilege of consistent main draw action.
Shevchenko was good last week at Montpellier but quicker conditions should favour the hometown guy and if I’m honest, I still think Shevchenko’s game is pretty one dimensional.
He struggles at the net and Bonzi should be looking for ways to exploit both his style and fragile temperament.
