This looks to be a decent game handicap for Noskova in this match-up with Riera.
I am sticking to my guns here. If I was keen to take the -5.5 games on Noskova against Babos the other day, I am not going to be swayed by one performance and shy away from the -3.5 games here against Riera.
I’m not particularly convinced (yet) on the Riera form, as this is the first player for the week that has the power to overcome her, but won’t find herself spraying errors erratically like Alexandrova yesterday.
For all the faults of Noskova, she has held serve in 30/33 service games against Babos and Cirstea. She should find more opportunities to break the serve of Riera compared to her last two opponents, and the -3.5 appeals.
