3 x ATP Indian Wells Preview: March 16

Preview: A handful of small plays for the tomorrow, with more to come later on the Betfair Hub.

First up I am happy to take Alex De Minaur to defeat Tommy Paul. Paul was pretty happy to accept the Alexander Zverev yips late in set three last round, coming form a break down in the decider to take the victory. The consistency in his game continues to improve, however this is a stern test in terms of opposition in the slow conditions in De Minaur. The Australian has started 2022 in better fashion than what we saw for long periods of 2021, and is well placed to frustrate Paul in the conditions.

The second selection is Taylor Fritz to win and cover the game handicap against Jaume Munar. Munar has made significant improvements in his game on hards to start this year, however Fritz shapes as a terrible match-up for the Spaniard, even with wins over the likes of PCB and Vukic this week. Fritz has the power to hit through Munar consistently, and I unless the unforced errors come at an absurd rate, I see this as being one way traffic for the American.

The third and final selection for this article is Botic Van De Zandschulp to defeat Miomir Kecmanovic. The Serbian was very lucky to scrape by Marin Cilic in the previous round, and when it is all said and done I think the BVDZ form around defeating Auger-Aliassime is going to hold up well this week. Just a small play on the moneyline.
