I was expecting this game handicap to be sitting around 5 games on long term hardcourt form. With -4 games available at most bookmakers (or even -3.5 games at some!), I cannot pass up the opportunity of backing Alexander Zverev.
Whilst there are always some question marks around a potential lapse from Zverev, I am looking to Ruud’s match with Tsitsipas last week as an indicator of Ruud’s level on hardcourt at the moment. Whilst he can find himself in matches against players with weaker serves (ie. Schwartzman) and players who are overly serve oriented (ie. Opelka). Players with a big serve and above average power off both wings, such as Tsitsipas and even Cilic, have shown the blueprint to beat Ruud in these conditions on hardcourt.
I’m involved in Zverev in the outright market, I’m still happy to jump in at the -4 game handicap at plus money for 2 units.
2 units Zverev -4 games vs Ruud at $2.09 at Topsport
