A couple of quick previews to kick off Day 3 of tennis action from Tokyo. More to come in 90 minutes – these two are first on court.
The first play I’ve taken is a 1.5 unit selection on Anna-Lena Friedsam and Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova over 19.5 games at $2.00 at Bet365. Pavlyuchenkova struggles with the hot conditions, as we saw late in her round 1 win against Sara Errani. Friedsam is back on her preferred surface and looked great in her first round win over Heather Watson. The 19.5 games falls below that key total of 20 games, and looks to be nice value at $2. I will also take a 0.75 unit selection on Friedsam at the money line.
1.5 units total games over 19.5 at $2 at Bet365
0.75 units Friedsam to defeat Pavlyuchenkova at $5.75 at Unibet
The second play that is up on court to start the day is a 1 unit selection on Krejcikova/Fernandez total going over 20 games. Fernandez finished off her match strongly against Dayana Yastremska in round 1, and looks to be more than comfortable in the conditions. I thought long and hard about taking the + games or even a nibble at the money line, however given I think Fernandez can keep it close, or take a set, the total at 20 is appealing for 1 unit.
1 unit Fernandez/Krejcikova total games over 20 at $1.87 at Topsport
