Just the one unit on this one, but there looks to be a little bit of value on Machac coming off an indifferent month in Melbourne.
Machac was a comfortable winner in the first round, albeit in three sets over Donskoy 6-3 3-6 6-1. Machac underperformed on break point conversion as well as break point saves, however still came away with what was a comfortable win over a decent opponent. He rolled his ankle on the first day of quarantine, making an already difficult trip even tougher.
Whilst I do rate Marterer as a player and I do have high hopes for 2021 for him and his return to the Top 100, I don’t think the consistency in his game has returned fully as yet. I will keep it short with the match before turning into a steamroll, but 1 unit on Machac at the moneyline is value. If you can access the -1.5 game handicap, I would also recommend that.
1 unit Machac to defeat Marterer at $1.71 at Topsport
