WTA Roland Garros Preview: Gauff vs Trevisan

Gauff vs Trevisan (Approx 01:00am AEST)

I remain steadfast in my belief that Coco Gauff is being put up under the odds quite consistently on clay.

Whilst I cannot bring myself to take the outright price on Trevisan, the +4.5 game handicap here at plus money looks worthy of a unit. I don’t feel as though Gauff handled the conditions amazingly well, simply she handled them better than Konta. The forehand slice to take all the sting out of the ball against Konta was an exceptional tactic, given the Brit prefers the ball coming onto her racquet with pace. I still maintain the second serve is vulnerable, and it will be attacked by Trevisan today, and rightly so.

After dropping the first set in qualifying to Vickery in round 1, Trevisan has not lost a set since. Whilst she is also one to not have a strong second serve, her general stroke play from what I have seen from her over the course of the last few matches is worthy of a shorter price today. Gauff hasn’t been dominant in any capacity, and I feel there will be at least one run here for Trevisan through this match. I cannot pass up +4.5 games here for a unit at $2+.

Suggested Bet

1 unit Trevisan +4.5 games vs Gauff at $2.06 at Topsport
