While European clay season is up and running, we’re still treated to some peculiar conditions in North America. One of those surely is the Sarasota Challenger played on green clay. Now Ethan Quinn is not known as a clay-court expert yet, however, the Har-Tru should suit his actual game better than regular clay.
Clement Tabur’s record on clay is looking really good, I just don’t think he’s as big a talent as Ethan Quinn is. The Frenchman just lost to Wu Yibing, Stefano Travaglia and Marco Trungelliti, not managing to win more than four games in a set. Quinn on the contrary can be content with winning a set against the in-form Valentin Vacherot. Tabur did have success on green clay once in 2021, but I still don’t think he should be the favorite over the highly-talented Ethan Quinn in these particular circumstances.
