I have some new-found respect for Alexander Bublik but Tomas Machac has proven to be an extremely tough out in recent months and I can’t help but be slightly concerned about the Kazakh’s trajectory since stepping onto outdoor hard courts.
He looked asleep in each of his last two opening sets, and I’m going to keep betting into that trend, especially against someone in Machac who’s played five quality sets here already.
