To put it pretty simply, I don’t think Nuno Borges should be a penny above $1.80 against Max Purcell.
It’s true the Australian was quite solid against a slack Matteo Arnaldi in the opening round, but the form lines Borges has are strong, in my opinion.
He had a straight-sets win over Dominik Koepfer with a $2 SP, and before that he lost a competitive match against Taylor Fritz at Delray Beach.
I have spoken in depth about Borges Challenger data in similar conditions and the reality is that he’s a superior player on a high-bouncing hard court in slow conditions.
I can only hope this one ends up being played under lights, but either way I’m happy to play.
