Jake’s Rio Preview: Baez vs. Acosta

Posted on

We’ve got at least three corporate books up with this price, so it’s time to play ball.

I have never enjoyed situations in which I’m staunchly against a player for a period of time, but as long as I’m taking good prices I’m happy to keep doing it.

Facundo Diaz Acosta will attempt to win again in round two against one of the best players in this draw.

Stan Wawrinka failed to pounce on what was likely a fatigued Acosta today, but Baez is far better equipped to force his compatriot to dig deep.

It’s a similar situation to Baez-Darderi at Buenos Aires where an extremely fatigued Italian ultimately knocked up against Baez as both players had a similar SP.

Acosta is playing out of his skin – so was Darderi. All good things come to an end.

The two played at Cordoba earlier in, with Baez starting 1.3 and hammering Acosta.

It’s likely Baez will have a huge fitness edge and I think this one could be one-sided.

Suggested Bet:
