Jake’s Montpellier Preview: Coric vs. Cobolli

I’ve been monitoring the line on Flavio Cobolli and I’m ready to push the button in the Italian’s favour.

Borna Coric is a talented player with sound defensive abilities, but for someone who has a history of knocking up during tournaments, I’m going to oppose him in slow conditions against someone who’s hitting the ball as well as anyone in Montpellier this week.

Cobolli was herculean against Gael Monfils, and was able to dispose of Lestienne fairly easily.

I do believe Coric at his very best would be too good for the youngster, but I’ve seen this movie many times before and feel if this one gets to deep water he might struggle. The handicap appeals.
