Vinny’s Challenger Burnie Preview – Bolt vs Walton

Posted on

Starting post-Australian Open match previews with a quick one from Tasmania as there’ll be an Aussie clash between Alex Bolt and Adam Walton in Burnie.

Bolt is serving out of his mind currently. The 31-year-old lefty wasn’t broken in four of his last five matches and only allowed three total break points. The other one and his only loss came against Tommy Paul, who’s just in another league compared to these Challenger-level players, so I’m not including that match into my analysis. Courts in Burnie are on the fast side of medium and wind should only be a factor there later in the week. While Bolt’s serve is clinical, he’s not the greatest returner. With Walton being the more well-rounded player and his game playing up on rather quick courts, I don’t see him getting blown out. I’m surprised the over 10.5 games line is set at bigger than 3.00 odds and I have the games total a full game higher. Let’s hit big!
