I’m not sure there are enough areas in this matchup that give an advantage to Potapova. Kudermetova had a disappointing stretch in 2023, but did look to regain some confidence in the back end and looked exceptional first up against Schmiedlova, where she didn’t face a break point. I’m just not sure I can trust Potapova in the some way. She is a little more inconsistent overall, and is fresh off her wedding/honeymoon and looked really scratchy first up against Saville, where she won in 3 sets.
I’m more than comfortable stepping into the -3.5 games for a unit.
