Earlier in the season, Colin Sexton was stuck behind Horton-Tucker in the Utah Jazz rotation and coming off the bench somewhat limited his offensive opportunities, however since being moved to starter in mid December he has flourished, scoring and average of 22.9 points per game in his last 10 games and exceeding the 18.5 point total available in 9 of his last 10 games.
I believe we are seeing a low-ish total of 18.5 for Sexton vs Miami for two main reasons. Firstly, Utah finally have a full strength side – however Clarkson’s return hasn’t hindered Sexton minutes wise as Sexton continues to start and should continue to do so as he offers more on defensive side. Secondly, Miami are just a tough side defensively. In saying that, Utah lead the league in offensive boards and I believe Miami will have their hands full with Lauri, Collins and Kessler in that regard which should give Sexton plenty of chances.
