Two further quick previews for tonight as there are a couple of prices that stand out.
The first is Donna Vekic +4.5 games vs Elena Rybakina in Berlin. Donna Vekic is an underrated grass court player, and as much as Rybakina is arguably the best grass court WTA player in the game at the moment, I personally have this one handicapped at 3.5 games. Vekic has the ability to hold her ground in baseline exchanges, can handle low-bouncing balls off both wings, and has a capable serve, and deserves a little more respect than the current odds suggest.
The other play that stands out for this evening is David Goffin -2.5 games vs Shang in the Ilkley Challenger. I was expecting a -3.5 game handicap in this one as well, as Goffin, a newly announced Wimbledon wildcard, has been well below his best this year, however he has all the tools in his game to make the most of the short grass season as he looks to make his way back into the Top 100. I’m not yet sold on the level of tennis on the grass from Shang.
