I’ll bite here on a small play on Gaston to cause the upset late on Day 7.
The ease in which Rune has made his way through the first two rounds does still leave some question marks around his ability to go the distance at grand slam level. This match-up against Gaston will be his most physical match-up, with Gaston showing what he is capable of producing in his final set tiebreak win against Alex De Minaur in round 1.
There will be an interesting dynamic in this match, as Rune faces not only a physical test but psychological one too with the French crowd against him in the night session. With some questions unanswered, I’m happy to take Gaston at the $3.50.
