I have written about Schmiedlova a couple of times in recent months, so I won’t go back over old ground too much. In her current form on the clay however, she should be too strong to Viktoria Kuzmova.
Schmiedlova has the right mix of movement and power to be a major problem for Kuzmova in these conditions. Barring a genuine redlining patch from Kuzmova at the same time as an erratic patch from AKS, on 2021 form Schmiedlova should be winning this in straight sets.
I think if Schmiedlova wins the first set and adjusts the better, she should be winning in straight. Were she to drop the first set, I would likely consider a live play on her if the price has edged to close to coin flip odds.
