Perhaps I am underrating Kucova and overrating Bara, or maybe a bit of both?
This looks to be a value spot for Irina Maria Bara, who has put together a solid body of work over the course of the clay season. Whilst she did have a lapse in her round 1 win over Federica Di Sarra 6-3 1-6 7-5. It has taken solid names to defeat her on clay over the last couple of tournaments (comparatively speaking to the quality of this field), and I had her more around the $1.70 mark in this match-up against Kristina Kucova.
I think the dominant round 1 win over Urszula Radwanska has had a little too much impact on the prices here. Since her win against Parrizas-Diaz in Bol, I haven’t seen enough consistency in her game to justify her price here. Whilst her top level is level with her opponent, her lack of consistency is the concern here in my opinion.
I will take Bara at the moneyline for 1.5 units.
