Steve’s WTA Prague Preview: Martincova vs Kuzmova

Posted on

My play is on a very similar line to the preview that Vinny posted earlier today.

Confidence in the game of Kuzmova has certainly come and gone over the course of the last 12-24 months, however the changes in confidence can occur quite quickly. This week is the best she has looked on court in some time, and given she was able to beat Martincova on indoor hard and clay in 2020 when out of form isn’t going to hurt her confidence today.

The courts in Prague seem to be playing quick, and that suits Kuzmova so long as she can maintain a solid first serve percentage. Whilst Martincova has certainly improved her game this year, I don’t think Martincova is consistent enough to warrant Kuzmova sitting at odds north of $3 in this one. If this were on clay you could maybe make a case or the price on larger body of form, but with Kuzmova looking better with the return to hardcourts it is hard to ignore the price.

Just a 1 unit selection here at what looks to be a value price.

Suggested Bet:
1 unit Kuzmova to defeat Martincova at $3.40 at Bet365
