Getting an extra game here on Nina Stojanovic at the game handicap than I had anticipated, as I was expective the Serbian to be giving up 4.5 games in this one.
I am not sure I can quite see the form that suggests Vitalia Diatchenko is playing well enough to be a genuine threat to Nina Stojanovic on the form displayed across surfaces in 2021. Outdoor hardcourt stats favour Stojanovic here, with the main question mark the transition back to the hardcourt from the grass of the last month.
I have backed Diatchenko a number of times over the years, but I just haven’t seen enough in her game when everything is clicking to consider backing her at the +3.5 game handicap here. Just the 1 unit selection with the surface transition, however Stojanovic and the form she has displayed at WTA level this year should be too strong for Diatchenko.
