With the Australian out to $2.20 in the head to head market, I don’t think I can let this match pass by without a small play.
Gojo hadn’t stepped onto grass at the top level in his career prior to this month. He now holds a 3-2 record with wins over Lammons in 3 sets, Bemelmans in straight sets and Torpegaard in straight sets whilst saving 13 break point opportunities out of 13. 69.5% has been the lowest first serve percentage for Gojo across those 5 matches, all sitting in the Top 30% of his first serve percentage across the last 12 months. He hasn’t been overly impressive whilst putting in a high percentage – is it sustainable?
I am happy to nibble Polmans here, even if his career form on grass isn’t exceptional. He is consistent off both wings, capable at the net, and covers the surface well for his ranking. Both his matches on grass this month have been tight, losing to Vukic in 3 and Gaio in 2. Tight tiebreaks went against him in both matches, and I think he going a little better than the results on paper suggest.
Happy to back the Australian here for 1 unit.
