Fading The Fatigued: Rome Edition Part 1

Posted on

Of the finalists who took to the court in Madrid last week, there is only one backing up today in Rome. The rest will likely play tomorrow.

The scheduling hasn’t been overly kind today for Matteo Berrettini, who is second up on court, approximately 40 hours after losing the biggest mtch of his career from a set up in Madrid. I would have anticipated this match occurring later in the day to allow more turnaround, however it was not the case. He drops back in altitude and court speed here, and comes up against an aggressive opponent in Nikolaz Basilashvili. The Georgian has been incredibly hit or miss this year, however looks to be an appealing price here against the Italian.

There are two methods of approach here. We know that Berrettini is going to be on the fatigued side, however I think there is more of an edge in opposing him across the first set whilst he adjusts to the conditions.

Suggested Bet:

1 unit Basilashvili 1st set winner versus Berrettini at $3 (+200) at Bet365
