ATP Rome Qualifying – Dellien vs Zeppieri

Dellien vs Zeppieri (Approx 07:00pm AEST)

I have a feeling the Zeppieri win over Cam Norrie has been a little overrated in this one.

Giulio Zeppieri has had an up and down couple of weeks at Challenger level, with quite a wide range between his best and worst tennis at this stage of his career. At 18 years of age, Zeppieri has wins over Olivo, Kamke and Vavassori and losses to Broady, Martinez and Bagnis. Consistency is the struggle, as we see with a lot of teenagers at this level, and this will be one of the biggest matches of his career to date.

A type of player that is going to ask a lot of questions of Zeppieri is Hugo Dellien. Dellien has produced some very impressive results on clay over the last 2 years, and the consistency in his game will ensure he will put a lot of pressure on Zeppieri today. He performed solidly coming off his US Open appearance, defeating Alessandro Giannessi in just under 90 minutes.

I was expecting Dellien to sit just below the $1.50 mark today, so there is a bit of value in the $1.70+ that is available. I am happy to play it for 1.5 units.

Suggested Bet

1.5 units Dellien to defeat Zeppieri at $1.72 at Bet365
