DraftKings Thoughts – February 17

Posted on

Here are a couple of players that have stood out to me for DraftKings today:

  1. Pablo Andujar – I don’t feel as though Fernando Verdasco is at 100% fitness, and that could be telling today against a quality clay-courter in Andujar. Verdasco will need to lift his output to justify his price today, and I would rather take Andujar and free up some salary for some other favourites in the market.
  2. Brandon Nakashima – Has the Pune title of Jiri Vesely been a touch overrated? I think so. Another value price to free up some salary for some of the one-sided matches on offer today. Nakashima is flying under the radar at Challenger level, and needs to be respected here. Recency bias in effect today.
  3. Corentin Moutet – If you are going to go with a big salary player today, Moutet is the one in my opinion. Should have far too much for Coria on current form, and it could turn into a very one-sided match today.
  4. Pedro Martinez – Given the up-and-down nature of the form of Hugo Dellien, it could be worth the risk to take Martinez and look for a big score if he can start strongly.

It looks to be a tough day, as there are some very evenly matched opponents for early in ATP draws.
