Tiafoe vs Fucsovics (Approx 11:30pm AEDST)
I don’t mind the head to head price on France Tiafoe today.
Marton Fucsovics was able to make his way through to the main draw with qualifying victories over Gerasimov and Vesely. Both match-ups suited the Hungarian, both players producing some one-dimensional tennis at times without a lot of variety.
It is the variety in the game that will serve Tiafoe well today. He got a match under his belt yesterday with a solid straight set win with Stan Wawrinka, so he should have a bit of a feel for the court and conditions. Whilst he did have a poor end to 2019, it must be said he was beaten by solid opposition most weeks. His game is still evolving, however the 21 year old will provide a good account of himself today.
Fucsovics wasn’t overly convincing on his way through qualifying, so I am happy to oppose him today. The price on offer for Tiafoe looks worthy of a 2 unit selection.
