I may be a little higher on the ceiling and level of Rebeka Masarova than most, and as a result the price on her today looks to be incredibly appealing.
Round 1 was a step in the right direction for Masarova given it has been an indifferent year for the 24 year old Masarova, who has had a mix of tight losses and some losses to respectable opposition, however I do still believe her level can match it with many on tour. Clay has generally been her strongest surface for the bulk of her career (closely followed by hard), and I do think she has the tools to be a genuine threat to Avanesyan in the conditions. I feel the Russian’s second serve is one of the more attackable shots on the court in this match-up, and with her being slightly vulnerable and having played an up-and-down round 1 against Frech, I’m incredibly comfortable opposing her at her current short price here with a decent sized staking.
