The player who has handled the conditions the best this week is Ann Li. I cannot pass up the $2 on offer here against Martina Trevisan.
Li is a player who has certainly shown her potential over the years but has perhaps struggled with the consistency of finding that level week in and week out. Things look to have clicked for Li in mid-May, and her level across the last near two months has caught me eye. I think she presents great value here against Trevisan, who I was expecting better from yesterday in her match with Chirico, and ended up being a little lucky to progress in my opinion.
One of the more impressive parts of Li is that her record against top players is reasonably solid given her ranking. She is 7-7 against Top 100 players in the last 12 months, and 3-0 in the last month. These two played two tightly contested matches in June, splitting the pair, and I feel Li has come on a little more from then if anything in comparison to Trevisan.
