Jake’s Dubai Preview: Rublev vs. Cazaux

Posted on

This is somewhat time sensitive, so I won’t stick around.

Andrey Rublev is set to play touted Frenchman Arthur Cazaux in Dubai’s second round, and I simply have not seen enough main draw play from the youngster to suggest this negative 3.5 line should be odds against.

Rublev overcome a white hot Zhang in his opening match before squashing the Chinese player in the final two stanzas, and as a former champion and general hard court monster, I am more than happy to side with the Russian.

Cazaux is 5-4 on the main draw hard courts with three of those wins coming at the Australian Open this season.

Sure, he was excellent that week but I’m yet to see him mix it with the big boys consistently and happy to make him prove me wrong against some of his toughest opposition yet.
