Jake’s Doha Preview: Popyrin vs. Khachanov

Posted on

Too big of a price for a confident and acclimatized Australian.

Alexei Popyrin had a quality hit-out with Alexander Bublik today, knocking off the Kazakh convincingly.

Karen Khachanov was the beneficiary of an Emil Ruusuvuori in a match where he started around the $1.65-$1.70 mark.

I don’t know about you, but I don’t find Popyrin to be eons away from those two, quality wise.

I admit quoting SP trends as a sole handicapping approach is somewhat rudimentary, but I would like to point out the market disrespect for the Australian.

I’ll keep it at that, because I’m pressed for time and it’s 4:39am, but I think Popyrin has a big enough game and enough of a feel for these conditions – and outdoor hard courts overall – to be right in this fixture.

Suggested Bet:

0.5 units Alexei Popyrin to WIN @ $3.29 with Pinnacle

0.5 units Alexei Popyrin +3.5 @ $1.81 with Pinnacle
