Just two quick underdog selections first up in Doha. The first is Zhuoxuan Bai to defeat Erika Andreeva. Andreeva snuck past Parry yesterday on the quick back-up from Cluj-Napoca, and to be perfectly honest I don’t feel her recent hardcourt form warrants a price this short against Bai. I was against Bai last week when she played the more experienced Maria, however coming off an easy kill in round 1 of qualifying, I feel her form dating back to September holds up here at the underdog odds.
The second underdog is Kamilla Rakhikova to defeat Magdalena Frech. Frech made the 4th round of the Australian Open, which gathered a bit of attention, however on form I have her closer to $1.85. She should still be the favourite here, however the current price is too short for my liking. Rakhimova did a great job in every key moment against Parks yesterday, however she should enjoy more time on the ball today with a less powerful opponent.
