I’m struggling to see a way through for Alves in this match-up. The Brazilian is 7-5 on the hardcourt over the course of the last 12 months. His only win over a pure hardcourt player was James Duckworth at the US Open qualifying, however the Australian was hampered by fitness issues at the time.
