It’s been an interesting week in Bad Homburg, and I have it ending with an upset victory in the final.
I was initially interesting in opposing Andreescu when I saw that she opened around the $1.45 mark, so the fact the money has come for her has opened up a value play on Garcia for mine. Andreescu has been largely untested this week, which has its pros and cons, however the serving of Garcia coupled with the longer term grass form (ie. more than just Andreescu defeating Trevisan, Swan and Kasatkina this week). Garcia has a serve that is going to be more difficult for Andreescu to find her way into consistently compared to her other three matches, and at $3.30 Garcia presents as great value.
