Vinny’s Challenger Nottingham Preview – Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard vs Hamish Stewart

Posted on

I’m quite surprised by the one-way line movement in favor of Hamish Stewart here. The 24-year-old is continuously improving, however, he’s competing at a different level than Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard, who does the same. Jiri Vesely is a shell of his former self and nothing more than a big name anymore while Paul Jubb is struggling to find the next step in his career. I think the odds are a bit screwed by these last two wins of Stewart and the move from around 3.00 all the way down to 2.25 is not warranted. I’m taking the big-hitting Frenchman, who has worked on his consistency and who mainly possesses more raw power and shouldn’t allow Stewart into too many rallies, at anything over 1.60 here.
