Happy to bite for a small play on Michael Mmoh here as an underdog. Mmoh can be a little on the streaky side, however he has the right mix of his game and athleticism to be able to give Shelton a bit of grief in Dallas. I am not quite sure we are quite getting the 2023 Shelton at the moment, particularly the level when he was at his best. Wins over Marozsan, RCB, RBA and O’Connell, and losses to Safiullin, Daniel and Mannarino aren’t form lines that are leading me to be excited at the prospect of taking him below $1.40 here.
Mmoh was serviceable through his his three matches in Montpellier, and transitioned back to the US indoor hardcourt well, beating Nava in round 1. I am comfortable backing Mmoh at the moneyline against Shelton first up post-AO for 0.75 units.
