The Argentinian was once in the elite class of clay courters, but injuries and perhaps the limitations of his frame are catching up to him now he’s on the other side of 30.
I do believe we will see some sort of resurgence from him before his career is over, but I don’t think it will come at a tournament he has expressed a dislike towards in the past.
Burruchaga has been a staple of the challenger tour and his data checks out for me. I don’t think he should be odds against.
