I think the respective levels of both players in conditions that we are seeing in Marseille this week are a little more even than the odds currently suggest. This won’t be a massive staking, however I do feel Goffin looked significantly better second up in Marseille qualifying, defeating Pouille in straight sets and winning 70% of points behind his first and second serves.
Lehecka’s title the week before the Australian Open was crucial for him given the volume of points he was defending in Melbourne. While the conditions here suit him, they also suit Goffin, and looking at the current odds, a selection split across Goffin first set and Goffin to win looks solid here. Just the half unit on each bet.
