PJ Washington started the season well for the Hornets averaging 17.2 PPG through the first 10 games. The recent return of Miles Bridges has certainly not helped PJ though, with his average since Bridges’ return being 8.5 PPG (over his last 4 games) and his season average dropping to 14.7 PPG.
With LaMelo out however, there is an opportunity here for a few Hornets to step up offensively. With the Hornets seeing a +11.5 start and the potential for a blowout, the possibility of bench players (which includes PJ) seeing more minutes is increased.
PJ’s ceiling this season is 32 points and a total of 11.5 points is definitely achievable based on the current situation for the Hornets.
