ATP/WTA Adelaide Double: January 3

Posted on

Whilst I am not completely sold on taking the game handicaps on these two players in action in Adelaide today, I am happy to combine them for a double to kick off the action for Monday.

The first leg of the double is Alex Bolt to defeat Juan Manuel Cerundolo. In fact, at the time of writing up this preview, I am still considering a play on Bolt to win this match-up in straight sets. Bolt’s level on Australian soil is, as a general rule, higher than what we witness across the course of the last few years. Cerundolo doesn’t have the runs on the board on hard for me to consider his price today, so I will jump into him for leg one.

The second leg is Kaja Juvan to defeat Chloe Paquet. Juvan is better than her current ranking suggests, and did struggle with the after-effects of Covid early in the season last year. I am anticipating a strong start to 2022 for Juvan, and I think she is comfortably the better and more suited player to the conditions. Paquet may have a purple patch at some point in this match-up, however I anticipate Juvan to be better for longer.

Suggested Bet

1 unit Bolt & Juvan to win (vs Cerundolo and Paquet) at $1.84 at Topsport

Over 18s Only (21+ in some jurisdictions). 1 unit = 1% of bankroll. These are my bets that I am making. Please enjoy your betting responsibly. Never bet more than you can afford to lose, and do not chase a loss.
