Steve’s ATP Tokyo Games Preview: Broady vs Cerundolo

Posted on

Short and sharp with play 90 minutes away. Whilst the conditions in Tokyo may be slow, I don’t think they are slow enough to bring Francisco Cerundolo into this match against Liam Broady.

Broady is slowly but surely edging his way towards the Top 100 (currently 142), having put together a very solid body of work in 2021, most notably early in the year on the hardcourt. Cerundolo has only played one Top 200 player in his career on hardcourts, and although he can get away with not having the strongest serve on tour on the clay, he is going to find it more difficult here on the hardcourt.

Whilst there are some unknowns given how little Cerundolo has played on the hardcourt, there is enough in this price to back Broady at the -3.5 game handicap for 1 unit.

Suggested Bet:

1 unit Broady -3.5 games vs Cerundolo at $1.93 at Topsport
