Debrief
A win from a set down and a loss from a set up.
Mager started well against Musetti, taking the first set. The script was flipped quickly by Musetti in the second, and the teenager ran away with the match in the third.
In the women’s qualifying selection, Krunic came back from multiple deficits to claim the win 3-6 6-2 6-2 over Samsonova.

ATP Roland Garros Qualifying
Diez vs Menezes
As a general rule it takes a decent Challenger claycourter to defeat Steven Diez at present. Whilst there may be a few L’s next to his name over the last couple of weeks, the quality of opposition at the level has been above average in my opinion. Against a player who doesn’t pack as much of a punch as some of the other opponents today in Joao Menezes, this looks to be a favourable spot for the Canadian.
I am going to keep this one short, however I feel as though the Menezes win over Elias Ymer in round 1 has led to a slight overreaction in the prices. Whilst it was impressive, the consistency and higher IQ tennis coming from the other end of the court, in conditions on the heavier side early in the day, makes Diez appeal at the moneyline price to kick off the day.
I will settle on this one for a unit to kick off the day.
Suggested Bet
1 unit Diez to defeat Menezes at $1.72 at Bet365
