I had Guinard pegged as a slight favourite here at home, with the title at ITF level in Prague one of the more competitive ITF draws on clay you will come across. Botic just hasn’t shown be anywhere near enough on the clay to justify the favouritism in this one, with a handful of three set wins in the lead-up. I don’t rate the win over Leo Mayer in round 1, with Mayer on his farewell lap around the clay before likely finishing his career.
The +3 game handicap looks to be great value here, however as it is not widely available, I will be taking the ML for 1.5 units at what looks a nice price as well.
