ATP Santiago Preview: Andujar vs Galan

Posted on

I am comfortable siding with the more consistent Pablo Andujar here, at what looks to be a reasonable game handicap for the Spaniard.

Andujar looked solid in his return to the clay last week, losing in the quarter final in 3 sets to eventual finalist Cerundolo. He won the first set 6-1, and had chances to break first in the second set, before Cerundolo converted chances and was able to go on with it in front of his home crowd.

February has involved a straight set win against Tirante, 3 set wins over Robredo and Altmaier, and losses to Tabilo, Baez and Kovalik. The overall body of form just doesn’t quite stack up here for Galan against Andujar, especially when there are -2.5 games and -3 games available at a number of bookmakers.

I would rather post up -3.5 games and have that lose and others win on -2.5 games and push on -3 games than the other way around, but it looks an attackable game handicap. Happy to back Andujar here for a unit.

Suggested Bet

1 unit Andujar -3.5 games vs Galan at $1.91 (-110) at Unibet

Please note: -2.5 games and -3 games available at some bookmakers.
