WTA Roland Garros Preview: Podoroska vs Krejcikova

Podoroska vs Krejcikova (Approx 9:30 pm AEDT)

After sitting in excess of $1.80 in her match against Anna Schmiedlova, I am a little baffled to see Nadia Podoroska sitting around the $1.50 mark today against a more capable and consistent opponent in Barbora Krejcikova.

Whilst I was glad to get the win with Podoroska in the previous round, I cannot have her so short today. Schmiedlova was seen by the trainer early in their match and struggled throughout. I remarked the other day that Podoroska has certainly putting together some fantastic form over the last month, however part of the appeal in her price the other day was the inconsistencies displayed match to match from Schmiedlova. Against a more consistent opponent today in Krejcikova, I do not see her being as comfortable.

Krejcikova was fantastic after dropping the first set 5-7 to Tsvetana Pironkova, not dropping serve the rest of the way on the way to a 5-7 6-3 6-4 victory. The Czech, moreso known for her doubles ability, is now looking at her entry into the Top 100 at the end of this tournament and looks to be riding high on confidence. Her form has also been solid, and the 3.5 game handicap here looks hard to pass up.

I had the odds close to evens for this match, so I am happy to take the +3.5 games on Krejcikova for 2.5 units.

Suggested Bet

2.5 units Krejcikova +3.5 games vs Podoroska at $1.99 at Topsport
