Herbert vs Griekspoor (Approx 06:30pm AEST)
Ymer vs Vrbensky (Approx 08:00pm AEST)
This is a continuation on from my previous article, which will explain the first leg here being Herbert to defeat Griekspoor.
I like Elias Ymer again today against another young Czech opponent in Michael Vrbensky. Even though Ymer found himself in a big hole early in set one against Machac, the Swede did a great job of extending the amount of time spent on court. Whilst Ymer was unable to win set 1, he reaped the rewards of his grinding later in the match, running away with it 6-0 in the final set.
I took Vrbensky in an earlier round as Diez was overrated by bookmakers, however the win wasn’t particularly convincing. He was then the beneficiary of a Kohlschreiber walkover, which has allowed him an easy passage through to the quarter final. If Ymer is able to maintain his level again today, he also looks to be value again today.
Please note: I also like Ymer at the game handicap, however until game handicaps at Challenger level remain harder to access, I will not post those.
